Cranmore’s Winter Basecamp

Big things are happening.  Cranmore has been busy working on a major renovation to our base area, specifically, Fairbank Lodge, the 13,000 square-foot base lodge with a new food pavilion, a slopeside bar, day and season-long lockers, restrooms, a café and a retail shop. This new space is set to complete by 2023, so while we improve, our base area will look slightly different this year.

Guests are welcome to get ready for the slopes in The BBQ Barn – a heated temporary facility adjacent to Zip’s Pub, or under the heated tent in Basecamp.  There are cubbies available on a first-come, first-served basis in Basecamp, and in the BBQ Barn.  

THERE IS NO STORAGE OF PERSONAL BELONGINGS IN ZIP’S.

Guests are encouraged to come ready for snow and leave their belongings in their vehicles.   

There is a heated tent in Basecamp that has a limited number of cubbies available for day storage.  There are also cubbies available in the BBQ Barn.  Cubbies are available on a first come, first served basis.

On the lower level of Zip’s Pub, you’ll find Zip’s Express.  Zip’s Express is open daily, 8:30am – 4pm, and features grab and go items such as  breakfast sandwiches, sandwiches, salads, burgers, chicken tenders, fries, chili, soup and more.  Seating is available on a first come, first serve basis on the lower level of Zip’s or in the BBQ Barn. 

Zip’s Pub will be open daily offering a full bar, and après entertainment on Saturdays, Wednesdays, and vacation periods.  Food service is available at Zip’s Express. 

New this winter is Wicked Char BBQ – open weekends and holiday periods, beginning mid December, 10am - 3pm.  This food truck is located on the slope facing side of the BBQ barn.

A brown bag area is available in the heated tent adjacent to the day storage tent in Basecamp.  Guests are also welcome to brown bag it in the BBQ Barn. 

There are a number of ways to access the snow.

From Schneider Square:

To access the Skimobile Express High-Speed Quad, follow the signs to the pathway that leads over Zip's deck. 

To access the South Quad, follow the signs that lead to the path located between the construction area, and Keasrage Brook Condominiums.

From the Parking Lots:

To access the Skimobile Express from the parking lots, follow the signs located behind Zip's Pub and the 10th Mountain Rental Pavillion. 

To access the South Quad, follow the signs that lead to the path located between the construction area, and Keasrage Brook Condominiums.

The Arlberg Children's Center

The lower level of the Artist Falls Lodge

The Alpine Café & Bar at the Artist Falls Lodge

Zip’s Pub is open with normal operations.  We have a full schedule of live music on Saturdays, Wednesday, and vacation periods – click here to view our calendar of events. 

Cranapalooza, our signature family event, will take place on Saturdays and daily during vacation periods, beginning December 26^th.  Activities include music, games, s’mores, prizes, C-more the Penguin, and more, and will be taking place in Basecamp.
