North Conway, NH – Cranmore Mountain Resort will begin summer operations on Saturday, May 28th. The resort will reopen with lift-serviced downhill mountain biking and Mountain Adventure Park rides. Cranmore will operate weekends only, 10am – 4pm, through mid-June before moving to an expanded schedule from Father’s Day to Labor Day Weekend.

Cranmore has expanded their downhill bike park for summer 2022, with the addition of 3 miles of new trails to their lift-serviced terrain. New trails include a new machine-built beginner flow trail, advanced technical trail, and jump line. In its third summer of operation, the park has 11 trails and over 6 miles of lift-serviced riding. New trails are projected to open in late June, early July.

Bike Park tickets are sold in ½ day and full day time blocks. Bike Park season passes, and single ride options are also available.

For those new to downhill riding, or who want to brush up on their riding skills, downhill bike lessons are available. Learn to Downhill 101 is geared towards those who have been on a bike before but are new to downhill mountain biking. Coaches will cover stance and balance, braking and gearing, bike-body separation, and navigating basic berms and flat turns.

For beginner-intermediate riders, Downhill Skills Clinic 102 will teach riders to tackle intermediate freeride terrain and navigate beginner technical terrain. Coaches will cover more advanced cornering, speed control, pumping, and tactics for flow and technical trails.

Private lessons will also be offered and will offer personalized coaching to meet a rider's mountain bike goals.

All lessons are 90 minutes in length and require advanced reservations, as same-day or walk-up reservations may not be available. Rental equipment is not included and must be reserved separately. Participants must be 7 years of age or older and must be on a bike with a wheel diameter no smaller than 20” and be comfortable using hand brakes. Kids ages 9 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Lessons can be reserved online, at cranmore.com.

Cranmore’s onsite bike shop, Crank Bike & Repair, features a selection of Rossignol Enduro All Track and NORCO Sight A2 full suspension mountain bike rentals. NORCO Fluid VLT Pedal Assist E-Bike rentals are also available.

With the Skimobile Express Quad currently undergoing $1 million in full system modernization and upgrades, Scenic Chairlift rides will begin in early July after the lift project is complete. Lift upgrades include Doppelmayr’s most advanced, state-of-the-art safety features, an automated system that will control the lift speed during windy conditions, and a tower speaker system that will allow the lift operators to communicate with guests on the lift if needed. These upgrades have the potential to increase uphill capacity in the future by 20%.

The summit’s Meister Hut Restaurant will reopen for the summer when scenic chairlift operations resume.

With base area reconstruction currently underway for Cranmore’s new base lodge, The Fairbank Lodge, summer ticketing for the Mountain Adventure Park will operate out of the new Artist Falls Lodge. Ticketing for the Bike Park and Scenic Chairlift will operate out of the Crank Bike and Repair Shop located in the 10th Mountain Pavilion in the Main Base Area.

Also located at the Artist Falls Lodge is the Alpine Café and Bar. The restaurant features 1,800 square feet of dining space and will offer grab-and-go options along with an expansive bar that looks out to the summer tubing park and Mountain Adventure Park attractions.

Cranmore’s Mountain Adventure Park includes the Mountain Coaster, Soaring Eagle Zipline, and Giant Swing. Additional attractions will be offered during the core season of operations. Tickets for the Mountain Adventure Park are sold in time blocks with limited inventory available during each time. Advanced reservations for the Mountain Adventure Park are highly recommended as the park will sell out during peak periods. Age, height, and weight requirements apply for each ride.

The resort’s summer events calendar is also expanding this season with the addition of the Friday Night Vertical Mountain Running Series, hosted by Ski the Whites. Beginning in June through early August, the 10- week series will bring racers to the summit and back down. A group start will be at 7pm. Those who want a head start can get access to the course any time after 6pm. For more event information, visit https://skithewhites.com/pages/friday-night-vertical-series

The Art’s Jubilee Summer Concert Series is also set to return to the base of Cranmore’s North Slope Thursday evenings this summer, July 15 – August 11. For a full lineup of entertainers, visit www.artsjubilee.org.
