Snowmaking Update
December 24, 2020
Merry Christmas! It wouldn’t be 2020 if Mother Nature didn’t throw us a curve ball. She’s gifting us with quite the Christmas Day forecast, of wind, rain, and mild temperatures. To preserve our snow, we will be closed on Christmas Day and will reopen on Saturday, December 26th for the Holiday week.
But snowmaking will return on Saturday when more seasonal temperatures arrive. Our plan will be to touch up any open terrain if needed, before moving to the Skimeister, Outta Luck, the lower part of North Slope, the Beginner Basin area, Reed’s Terrain Park on the South Slope, and the tubing park. Our goal is to expand open terrain with these trails by early in the week, to add another route off the summit for the vacation period.
After we open these trails, we’ll begin working on the Middle, Competition Slope, Upper Kandahar, Lower Skimeister, and Koessler.

Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy Holiday!
