Cranmore’s weekly Mountain Meister Race League recently presented End 68 Hours of Hunger MWV with a check for $814 in funds raised during weeks 3 and 4 of the 10-week race series.

End 68 Hours of Hunger is a public non-profit effort to confront the approximately 68 hours of hunger that some school children experience between the free lunch they receive in school Friday and the free breakfast they receive in school Monday.

Cranmore’s Mountain Meister Race league is celebrating its 51st season of ski racing. The 10-week series is one of the largest community race leagues in the country with over 350 local racers and 30+ teams. Through the Pay2Play program, racers can take a third run through the racecourse for a $5 donation to a pre-determined local non-profit. Since introducing the program in 2018, the program has averaged $5,000 each season in donations through the 10 weeks of racing.
