Cranmore Ramps Up for February Vacation Week

North Conway, NH – It’s all about fun this February at Cranmore Mountain Resort.  This President’s Week, Cranmore will have extended hours with night skiing and tubing offered daily and a plethora of family-friendly events scheduled throughout the week. 

Saturday, February 19^th through Saturday, February 26^th.  Cranapalooza, Cranmore’s signature family event, will take place each day from 2:30pm – 4:30pm.  Held in Schneider Square, the block party style event includes $1 smores, music, appearances from Cranmore’s penguin mascot, C-more, lawn games, giveaways and more.  On Saturday, February 26^th, Cranmore will host an early fireworks show at the base of the South Slope at 6:30pm. 

Presented by Tuckerman Brewing Company, guests can enjoy live music in Zip’s Pub from some of the Valley’s favorite musicians, scheduled daily through the vacation period, 4pm – 7pm.

Cranmore’s second terrain park event of the season will take place on Saturday, February 26^th.  The second event of a three-part series is open to skiers and snowboarders of all ages and abilities.  Registration is free with a valid lift ticket or season pass. Competitors do not need to compete in all three events to participate.  Registration will take place in the Red Sled area of the main base lodge, from 8:30am – 9:30am, with the competition taking place at 10:30am.  Participants under 18 must have a parent or guardian present to sign a release of liability.  2022 Terrain Park sponsors include Liberty Skis and Ordie Apparel.

On Sunday, February 27^th, Cranmore season passholders with a valid season pass for the day are invited to ski first tracks with a pro from Cranmore’s Ski School.  Passholders can meet at the Skimobile Express Quad at 7:45am for an 8am lift load.

Ski area hours of operations for President’s Week are 8:30am – 8pm, Saturday, February 19^th through Saturday, February 26^th, and from 8:30am – 4pm on Sunday, February 27^th.  Lift schedules will return to normal hours of operation beginning Monday, February 28^th. 

Daily lift tickets are valid from lift opening until 4pm.  Night skiing tickets are valid from 2pm – 8pm.  From 4pm on, there is access to 5 trails and 2 terrain parks, accessible from the South Quad chairlift.  Night skiing tickets are $59 for guests ages 13 – 64.  Seniors and kids under 13 and $29.  Trails open for night skiing are not regroomed midday, and snow conditions are variable.  Guests looking to night ski should be comfortable riding a chairlift and navigating intermediate terrain.   All lift tickets can be purchased online at cranmore.com or at the Cranmore Ticket Office on the day of arrival.  Lift ticket quantities are not limited.

NH’s #1 Tubing Park will be open daily, Saturday, February 19^th – Sunday, February 26^th, 9am – 6pm, and from 10am – 4pm, for the New Hampshire Vacation period, Monday, February 28^th – Friday, March 4^th.  The Tubing Park features up to 10 lanes of sliding and is serviced by a surface lift that brings tubers to the top of the tubing hill.  Tubing Park tickets are $45 for guests 42” and taller.  Under 42” are $5 and must ride with a paying adult.  Tubing tickets are sold in 2-hour time blocks, with a limited quantity available for each scheduled time. For best availability, advanced reservations for tubing are strongly recommended.  Tickets can be purchased online at cranmore.com or at the Artist Falls Lodge on the day of arrival, based on availability. 

“There is a lot of positive momentum going into the vacation period, especially with the recent snowfall.  We are skiing and riding some of the best conditions of the season with 100% of our trails and glades open,” said Becca Deschenes, Cranmore Marketing Director.  “First thing in the morning and night skiing are great times to hit the slopes if you’re looking to avoid the crowds, as we do tend to see higher volumes of guests during peak periods.  We have three ways to reach the summit, so though we may be busy, we’re able to easily spread out crowding in lift lines and on the trails.  It’s really fun to lap the Schneider Triple on the backside of the mountain on busier days.” she continued.

“My best advice to vacationers?  Plan ahead, be patient, and most importantly, be kind.  It’s been a long winter for a lot of businesses in the area.  Though we do not have any capacity restrictions on lift tickets, we are strongly encouraging guests to book in advance when it comes to reserving products and services that are inventory-based, such as rental equipment, ski and snowboard lessons, and tubing park tickets.” 

Cranmore continues to operate under reasonable safety precautions facing the challenges of Covid-19.   Though not required, all guests vaccinated and unvaccinated are strongly recommended to wear face coverings while in indoor settings unless eating or drinking.  Guests may bring bags into lodges to change or put boots on, but indoor bag storage is not allowed.  Outdoor cubbies are available for bag storage and are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.  Guests are encouraged to keep their personal belongings in their vehicles or carry a small backpack.  Cranmore has returned to normal seating capacities in all lodges and restaurants.
