Cranmore Mountain Meisters Donate to End 68 Hours of Hunger

March 4, 2021

On Wednesday, March 3rd, Cranmore Mountain’s Snowsports Director, Karen Dolan, presented Mandy McDonald, Program Coordinator of End 68 Hours of Hunger MWV, with a check for $940 in funds raised during week 5 and week 6 of The Mountain Meister Pay2Play Program.

End 68 Hours of Hunger is a public non-profit effort to confront the approximately 68 hours of hunger that some school children experience between the free lunch they receive in school Friday and the free breakfast they receive in school Monday.

Cranmore’s Mountain Meister Race league is celebrating its 50th season of ski racing.  The 10-week series is one of the largest community race leagues in the country with over 300 local racers and 25 teams.  Through the Pay2Play program, racers can take a third run through the racecourse for a $5 donation to a pre-determined local non-profit.  Since introducing the program in 2018, the program has averaged $5,000 each season in donations through the 10 weeks of racing.
