The chairlift, which was originally installed in 1995 will go through $1 million in full system modernization after the conclusion of the winter season. Upgrades include Doppelmayr’s most advanced, state-of-the-art safety features, including an automated system that will control the lift speed during windy conditions, and tower speaker system that will allow the lift operators to communicate with guests on the lift if needed. Lift upgrades will allow the lift to increase its uphill capacity in the future by 20%. The project will be complete in late spring/early summer 2022.
