Lessons for Adults

At the Cranmore Snowsports School, our goal is to build self-esteem and a lifelong passion for skiing and snowboarding while providing a safe and fun learning environment. Our professional instructors look forward to sharing their love for winter and their enthusiasm for teaching. With each lesson, you will learn skills leaving you looking forward to your next time on snow.

First Time Skiing & Snowboarding Lessons

A learning experience designed to take the first time skier or snowboarder through a series of lessons utilizing our Terrain Based Learning TM features that will have you sliding and turning in no time. Visit here for what to expect during your first lesson.

Private Lessons

  • A great chance to get one on one time with your own instructor; this is a great option for developing more advanced skills including racing and/or terrain park, but it is acceptable for all levels. Park and race lessons require 24 hour advance reservations
  • Semi privates offer individuals of the same skill level looking to develop their skiing or riding skills together in a private setting. Individuals need to be of similar ability and participating in the same discipline (either skiing or snowboarding). Limited to three people per instructor
  • Price is for lesson only; it does not include lift ticket or equipment.  In order to guarantee your time slot, reservations must be made by phone prior to the day you want to ski.  Reserve by calling 1-800-SUN-N-SKI ext. 333.
  • Lessons meet on snow, at 9am, 10am, 11:15am, 12:30pm, 1:45pm and 3pm, midway between the main base lodge and Children's Center.

Tips for a Good Experience

  • Book in advance!  It saves you money and will put you at ease on the day of your arrival.
  • Get a good nights' sleep!  Being well-rested for the day will improve the experience.
  • Eat breakfast!  They don't say that breakfast is the most important meal of the day for no reason.
  • Arrive at least 60 minutes prior to your lesson start time to allow for the ticketing & rental process.
  • Take a look at our First Timer's Guide, to answer any other questions you might have.

Cancellation Policy

If you cancel up to 48 hours prior to the day of your arrival, you may receive a full refund or move your lesson to another day during the current season.  If you cancel the day prior to your lesson by 4pm, you may move your lesson to another day to be used during the current season.  Cancellations made the day of your lesson or no shows will be charged full price and the lesson will be forfeited.

Lessons and instructors are scheduled daily.  We do not cancel lessons due to changing weather, storms or temperatures.  Please dress appropriately.
