Cranmore Competition Programs have produced world-class athletes. Our competition programs are designed for students who have reached the ability level that enables them to compete effectively among their peers. These programs require travel to regional and local competitions and a stronger commitment to the sport.
Competition programs also require parental support and travel expenses may be required as a result of qualifying and making specific teams.
Cranmore Race Team (CRT), U10 (ages 8 & 9)
This program is for children who show a strong interest in ski racing and have the skills to match. In this program children will master basic skills needed for race courses along with the understanding of rules and regulations. This is an introduction for both children and parents into the world of ski racing. Participants will race in a limited number of races appropriate for their age group.
Dates: Weekends and vacation weeks, December 1st - March 17th.
Times: 9:00am-3:00pm.
Cost: $1,050.00 until 11/1/12; $1,150.00 after 11/1/12; $1,200.00 after 12/1/12.
Cranmore Race team (CRT), U12/14 (ages 10 - 13)
These programs continue with the mastery of basic skills and introduce racing tactics. Racers will complete in BWL series, locally and regionally throughout the season.
Dates: Weekends and vacation weeks, December 1st - March 17th.
Times: 9:00am-3:00pm.
Cost: $1,050.00 until 11/1/12; $1,150.00 after 11/1/12; $1,200.00 after 12/1/12
Cranmore High School Race Team, (ages 14-18)
This is a training program for the high school racer who no longer wishes to compete outside the high school race arena. It is a perfect balance of race training and camaraderie that gives your high school athlete experience that shows up in race results.
Dates: Weekends and vacation weeks, December 1st – March 17th
Times: Times will vary.
Cost: $1,050.00 until 11/1/12; $1,150.00 after 11/1/12; $1,200.00 after 12/1/12.
CRT-MWV U16 (ages 14-15)
This program is a cooperative program with MWV Ski Team to provide a smooth transition from children's racing to seeded racing. It allows the athletes to train on wider variety of terrain while remaining at Cranmore for 75% of their training. For racers ages 16 & up looking for a race program please contact the MWV Ski Team for program options at www.mwvskiteam.com
Dates: Weekends and vacation weeks, December 1st – Late March
Times: 9:00am-3:00pm
Cost: Please contact MWVST for prices. Early payment is due 10/15/12.
Cranmore Freestyle Team
This program is for ages 8 & up who have the skills and are ready for competitive arenas in New Hampshire and beyond. Athletes receive additional and more frequent competition training and development . Over the past several seasons CFT athletes have qualified for regional and national events. The approach provides a more structured environment to help prepare for a sanctioned event series. Children do not need prior competition experience to join. All participants will need to purchase a competition license.
Dates: Weekends and vacation weeks, December 1st – March 17th
Times: 9:00am – 3:00pm
Cost: $1,050.00 if paid in full by 11/1/12; $1,150.00 after 11/1/12; $1,200.00 after 12/1/12
Notes about competition programs:
- Pay in full prior to 11/1/12 and save $100.00.
- All programs require the purchase of a Season Pass.
- Appropriate release must be signed and on file prior to participation in program.
- Programs must have at least 8 participants signed up to be scheduled.
