North Conway, NH- On Fri. December 23rd, Cranmore Mountain will be hosting a dedication to a new memorial for the late Jimmy Mersereau, Cranmore's Director of Operations, on the second anniversary of his passing. The public is invited to the dedication. Guests can ride the South Quad chairlift at 8am for the memorial at 8:45am.

An approximately 7 ton granite slab has been erected with a heartfelt bronze plaque mounted to it near the end of Jimmy's Run, the trail named for him. The memorial honors his 40 years of dedication and love of Cranmore. Skiers and riders can pause and reflect at his memorial with a view of Mt Washington beyond the top of the south chair. Jimmy designed and built the trail which is now an important connection to the South Slope. Attendees can then either ski down after the dedication or download on the South Quad to the base. There will be coffee and a continental breakfast in the Eating House following the event.

Jimmy had worked at Cranmore Mountain, his home away from home, since 1971 and was responsible for many aspects of resort operations. He was a legend in the ski industry and a leader in environmental practices.
