The choice of New England ski resorts for growing families

Of all New England ski resorts, only Cranmore Mountain is known for a fun-filled environment that is totally based on meeting the needs of young families, including rentals, lodging and more. At Cranmore Mountain's New England ski resorts, you will find plenty to do for everyone including your youngest toddler, your most athletic teenager, and of course, yourself.

For parents who love New England ski resorts

Kids are extra special at Cranmore's New England ski resorts, because we know happy kids make great vacation memories. We have designed our children's programs to meet your child's developmental needs, while at the same time creating a fun atmosphere that helps kids improve their on-snow skills. Whether your child is just starting out or has mastered the mountain, one of our ski resorts children's programs will guarantee fun with miles of sliding and tons of smiles.

Introduce your kids to the latest sports.

Our Grand Prix Tubing Center is the coolest tubing center at any of the ski resorts and this season we've gotten even better. We have added music, colorful banners and pennants, brightly colored red snow tubes, and radar guns with huge readouts at the end of two of the six tubing lanes to show you how fast you're going, how cool is that!

You can also introduce your kids to Snowscoots. Half scooter, half snowboard, snowscoots are designed for jumping and carving. A twist of the handlebars and a little foot pressure and the snowscoot carves up the corduroy.

Snowbikes are another popular sport. Originally used by non-skiing lift operators to get down the hill after work, snowbikes offer tremendous control and excitement. The wheels are replaced with skis, and the rider wears short skiboards for balance and control. Snowbikes are also used in Booth Creek's Snowsports Schools as a tool to accelerate the learning process.

Try Snowblades, the latest craze

Visitors of all ages have gone crazy over Snowblades. These terrain park inspired wonders allow skiers to lay deep carves and perform aerial tricks. Besides being significantly shorter than skis (thus making it easier for spinning tricks), snowblades are wider than normal and feature a twin-tip design. So if you are up for a winter challenge, it's time to sign up for snowblading lessons at Cranmore Mountain today.

If skateboarding is your kid's passion, let him try Snowdecks for a little skateboarding on snow. Snowdecks are basically skateboards without wheels. By elevating this skateboard deck a couple of inches above the snow, riders can use a narrow snowboard constructed subdeck to angulate turns with their toes and heels hanging over the top deck. Riders can feel as confident as they would on a snowboard with bindings.

On-site lodging

When you visit cranmore.com, you're just a few clicks away from a fantastic winter vacation. You will stay in a spacious, comfortable and modern two- or three-bedroom condominium, many of which are right on the mountain for immediate trail access. We also offer a very affordable midweek ski packages.

Unlike other ski resorts, Cranmore is known for special events and activities designed to bring the whole family out together under the stars.
