Mountain Dew Pond Skimming

The final weekend at Cranmore was like so many days we have had before. Beautiful Blue skis, live music, and something festive going on!  150 participants entered the 2005 Mt. Dew Spring Splash.  8 feet longer than last year, and filled with real Mountain Dew there were some crashes and there were some splashes!  Alex Plummer from Center Harbor, NH scored the highest from the panel of judges and also had a the biggest splash!  The best wipeout was tough to call so the top 6 contestants names were put in a hat and the winner was drawn.  Our best little guy was Brad Sampson from MA. A new award for this year was the best face flip awarded to Riley Lambert of Madison, NH.  And our wettest spectators were Cranmore's own Andrea Libby and Dawson!  It was a fun day and special thanks for Mt. Dew for all their swag!  Just in case you didn't know, Heavenly Hot Tubs of North Conway had 2 Soft tubs on the Deck for anyone to enjoy.  So if skimming the pond, and relaxing in the hot tubs wasn't enough, the New England Bluegrass Band was at the Eating House and could be heard on the deck!  It was a great spring splash!
