Cranapalooza - It's a Festival!

Cranapalooza and night skiing have ended for the 2007-2008 season. We hope you'll join us next year for more fun under the lights!

When the sun goes down in North Conway and the lights illuminate the trails of Cranmore, the festivities begin. Saturday nights from late December through mid-March (plus Wednesday nights during vacation periods: 12/26/07 and 2/20/08), guests will enjoy a variety of events throughout the resort in addition to top-to-bottom night skiing and tubing. Returning for its fourth season, Cranapalooza is a festival of music, entertainment and games with North Conway's favorite penguin, C-More.

Cranapalooza kicks off the season on December 26, 2007. As guests finish up a day of skiing and riding or arrive for the nighttime festivities, they can enjoy activities beginning at 2 p.m. Activities change weekly and include fireworks on select dates, games with C-More, magicians and puppets, fireworks, face painting, hypnotists, live entertainment, hot chocolate and s'mores around the fire pit and Après Ski with live music in Zip's Pub.

This year, Cranmore will sponsor the Make a Wish Foundation of New Hampshire through the sales of their popular s'mores kits. A portion of all s'mores proceeds will be donated to the organization which grants wishes to terminally ill children in the state. "Cranmore has long been a place where children come to experience the wonders of winter," stated Ben Wilcox, Cranmore's General Manager. "Make a Wish was brought to our attention through our longtime partnership with Pepsi. We look forward to helping out this worthy cause and promoting their good works to our many visiting families." Pepsi will support the event by providing Pepsi product samples to be added to the s'mores packages.

Another popular activity coming back for this winter is the spectacular fireworks display set off over the slopes. Fireworks will light the skies at 7:30pm on the following dates:

• December 26
• January 19
• February 2
• February 16
• February 23
• March 8

And new for this year, mountaintop dinners will be offered at the Meister Hut summit cabin once a month. The dinners, available by advance reservations only, will offer white linens, firelight, gourmet food and wine pairings all with the incomparable views of North Conway. Dinner dates will coordinate with fireworks for a spectacular finish to the meal.

"Cranapalooza is an event packed with entertainment for all ages combined with the magic of the night," said General Manager Ben Wilcox. "These new Meister Hut dinners add a new dimension to night skiing at Cranmore - fine dining paired with wine served up in the rustic summit cabin will make for a memorable evening for all."

Cranapalooza lift tickets are just $22 from 2 - 9 p.m. Night skiing is offered on 11 trails and 3 lifts for all ability levels, including the Darkside and Other Side Terrain Parks, Beginner Basin, South Slope, North Slope, Hurricane and more. Cranmore's top rated Arctic Blast Tubing Park is also open Saturday and holiday evenings until 9 p.m.
