19th Annual Bach Festival

August 23 - 26, 2007

The 19th Annual Bach Festival, presented by the White Mountain Musical Arts, will offer a total of seven opportunities to hear and learn about Bach and the wonderful chamber music of the Baroque era. Approximately eighty musicians, professional and amateur, will gather for the four-day event to perform the great instrumental and vocal works of the Baroque masters.

2006 marked the 18th year of the Bach Festival in North Conway, New Hampshire. This is a remarkable feat. From its simple beginnings at Christ Church Episcopal, and the dream of then organist, Clarence Snyder, this festival has not only been able to remain a viable cultural 'staple' over the years, but it has been able to change and grow, as well.

This was also the year that the decision was made to move most of the performances to a new location - offered by the management of Cranmore Mountain Resort. Known as the 10th Mountain Pavilion, this arched, white fabric structure is air-conditioned and holds a full stage and an audience of 350 people permitting the potential attendance to jump by 150% - with the promise of creature comfort in the bargain! In addition, Cranmore is a very easy location to find, with ample parking within steps of the performance venue.
