New Fitness Classes and Leagues Added This Autumn at Cranmore Family Fitness

NORTH CONWAY, NH -- Cranmore Family Fitness Center has announced the launch of new programs and classes for fall. In addition to new fitness classes, a revamped spinning program and sports leagues, Cranmore has added new staff to both personal training and massage. Programs are being redesigned to accommodate early morning exercisers and parents with children who can take advantage of expanded daycare hours. Also, the date has been set for the 2008 Open House. Members and non-members alike are invited to join CFFC from 8am – 1pm on Saturday, October 18th for a complimentary sampling of fitness programs and workshops.

New classes to the fall fitness schedule include Zumba, TKB and Kids ‘Robics. Zumba is the infusion of Latin and International rhythms with a mix of fast and slow music that helps tone and sculpt. “It’s like going to a wedding and not having to dress up or wear uncomfortable shoes!” says Sara Moore, Program Manager. “Our members love the festive atmosphere and great workout.”

TKB, the total kickboxing workout, will be taught by returning instructor Lori Chandler beginning October 15th. This class has a strong beat and choreography that builds each class, making it a high intensity workout that even a newcomer can follow.

Parents of 2-4 year olds can get moving with Kids ‘Robics on Tuesday mornings from 10-11am. In addition, Winter Conditioning classes return October 14th with two new early morning sessions. This popular class runs M/W 6-7:30am, T/Th 5:30-7pm, and Saturdays at 9-10:30am.

The Spinning program at Cranmore has been revamped to allow riders to choose from a menu of class options that include an endurance ride, hill climb, high intensity, interval and recovery ride. In addition, CFFC is hosting three workshops run by Johnny G Spinning on Saturday November 1st: Heart Rate Training, The Interval Energy Zone and Race Day Training. For more information on these workshops, go to www.spinning.com.

The indoor tennis courts will be transformed for Dodgeball and Floor Hockey competition beginning November 2. Games are scheduled outside of tennis play and promise a throwback to the glory days of playground games. Not only are these leagues a great way to have fun with others, it’s an incredible workout as well.

For kids, birthday party packages now include an inflatable bouncy house and 65’ obstacle course. Other options include exclusive use of the indoor pool, climbing wall, tennis court and gymnastics studio and use of a party room. With “concierge service” for parties, Cranmore will orchestrate the entire event for families.

CFFC welcomes Amanda Wirling and Sandra Mercurio, both AFAA certified with several years of experience, to the Personal Training team. They join a professional staff that can customize a fitness routine to help clients reach a greater level of fitness. Small group personal training is available for 2-4 clients who share similar fitness goals and makes training fun and affordable while achieving terrific results together.

Also, two massage therapists have been added to the full service massage offering. Tamara Wood is a newly licensed NH massage therapist and Kara Rayder is offering Yoga Massage and Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy. A massage at Cranmore will nurture and aid relaxation for both members and guests, and complete the mind body experience.

Cranmore Family Fitness Center is located at the base of Cranmore Mountain Resort in North Conway, NH and offers a wide range of programs and classes for all ages and abilities. CFFC offers climbing, tennis, indoor pool, gymnastics, a full Nautilus circuit, cardio and strength training equipment as well as a full menu of fitness classes that are complimentary to members.
