Over the summer these three New Hampshire resorts invested over $12 million to get ready for the upcoming winter season. Loon Mountain will debut its new South Peak terrain next month. Two new lifts and 50 acres of new terrain highlight the South Peak expansion for the 2007-2008 season. The new South Peak base area also includes a base facility with food and beverage options, restrooms, ticket sales, Snowsports information/sign up and shuttle service.

Waterville Valley Resort has spent over $525,000 this summer on snowmaking and grooming projects and new ski rental inventory.  On mountain investments include twenty more snowmaking tower guns added to the existing fleet in addition to an increase in snowmaking capacity. A new winch cat was purchased to help Waterville groom its famous Sunnyside trails like the double black diamond True Grit, home of freestyle skiing.  Freeskiers and snowboarders get a revamped Street Hubba in Exhibition Park and cross country skiers will find two new trails at the Waterville Valley Nordic Center.

Also for sale are Cranmore Mountain’s Happy Trails passes. Valid at Cranmore Mountain Resort only, these are a great deal for skiers and riders who only enjoy North Conway’s Mountain of Choice.
