New Year's Eve Family Tubing Party New for This Winter

NORTH CONWAY, N.H. - Cranmore Mountain Resort, in the heart of Mount Washington Valley, is home to New Hamsphire's favorite tubing park, the Arctic Blast Tubing Park. New this season, Cranmore will expand hours of operation to include a new Thursday time slot and also host a New Year's Eve party running until midnight on December 31st. Additionally, Cranmore will launch a new tubing season pass, only $89 for all ages for unlimited access to the park for the entire winter.

"Tubing at Cranmore has always been an exciting and affordable winter activity for families," stated Ben Wilcox, Cranmore General Manager. "With this new tubing season pass, families can enjoy a day of fun outdoors without worrying about the expense. It pays for itself after just 3 or 4 visits."

The Arctic Blast Tubing Park operates Thursdays from 3p.m. to 9p.m.; 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. every Friday and Saturday as well as holiday and vacation weeks; and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. New Hampshire School Vacation week features extended park hours, Feb. 25-28 when the park will open from 1p.m. - 9p.m., then regular park hours on Feb. 29.

Also new for this year, Cranmore hosts a special New Year's Eve Family Tubing Party on Monday, December 31st. Tubers can slide into 2008 with a special deal, only $24 for a ticket valid from 4pm. - midnight. The party will feature unlimited tubing runs, free hot cocoa, available snacks plus a special radar race starting at 11p.m. Guests will also receive free party hats, noise makers and kazoos.

"As New Hampshire's most popular tubing park, we wanted to provide a fun, safe and entertaining option for families who want to celebrate the New Year's Eve holiday together," continued Wilcox. "This is a new event for us and we look forward to ringing in the New Year at midnight with our guests for the first time ever."

2007-2008 Tubing Park Tickets for all ages cost only $24 for an unlimited day or night ticket (9a.m. - 4p.m. or 4p.m. - 9p.m.) or $18 for a 2-hour session. Kids over 42" tall can ride alone and those under 42" ride with an adult (no cost for child riding with an adult).

The Cranmore Arctic Blast Tubing Park is located at the base of the mountain between the main base lodge and the Family Fitness Center. Tickets may be purchased inside the new warming hut Cranmore erected last winter. The warming hut is located at the base of the Park. This base facility offer guests a place to sit down and grab a snack. Families can take a break to watch other tubers whiz down the hill or purchase retail items including hats, gloves and hand/foot warmers.
