FITNESS CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

A wide variety of fitness classes are offered at the Cranmore Family Fitness Center.
Choose from the terrific class options described below.

Abs - Focused core training (.5hrs)

Ashtanga Yoga - A unique combination of dynamic breathing & strong flowing movements, which create a high-energy workout. Builds strength, unwinds tight joints and loosens muscles. Should have 1-year yoga experience. Beginner Ashtanga Yoga class Monday morning (1 ½ hrs.)

Body Renew H20 Aerobics - This is an excellent non-impact class for people with joint problems. Water resistance increases endurance and strengthens major muscle groups and it’s fun! (1 hr.)

Body Renew Tone & Stretch - This concentrates on strengthening major muscle groups & increasing flexibility through gentle stretching. (1 hrs.)

Body Sculpting –A full-body sculpting workout with weights, bands, etc. for conditioning and strength.

Cardio Party – high energy aerobic workout with great music and choreography 

Hard Core - A core intensive routine coupled with a toning routine for the gluteus maximus

HOT Yoga
– Health and well-being are the rewards for practicing Hot Yoga. Many styles are integrated in this class. Room is heated to help remove toxins from body & to help prepare one for stretches. (1 ½ hr.)

Iyengar Yoga – Breath control & Yoga routines for all abilities that will slow or even reverse aging, increase stamina strengthen, slim and tone the body. (1 ½ hrs)

Karate - Zujitsu-Ryu: the nature of this art is to have physical contact between training partners; includes grabbing, holding, striking. Senior Belt Karate - Green belt or better.

Power Pilates - This is a fast-paced, core-based method of body conditioning that concentrates on the abdominal and back muscles. Contemporary approach to an Intensive Mat workout. (1 hr.)

Spin- Indoor group cycling class where you are led through a journey of hills, sprints and open road. Ride at your own pace and bring a water bottle! This class requires prior registration; is not included in CFFC membership.

Step Aerobics- In this class the step choreography is fun and challenging! You will be keeping your heart rate in the aerobic range through the workout.

Step & Tone - This concentrates on toning major muscle groups and increasing flexibility with the use of steps & weights. Basic Step movements, easy to follow, alternating with weights. (1 hr.)

Stott Pilates- This is a non-impact method, which improves posture, strength, flexibility and mind/body integration. Modifications will be taught. (1 hrs.)

Sculpting– Training all muscle groups for an all body workout including balance training. You will utilize free weights, the stability ball and your own body weight for an energizing workout! (.5hr)

Yoga
– Integrates several styles of Yoga that coordinates breath and movement(1 ½ hrs.)
