Cranmore Opens for the Season this Friday with Skiing, Riding, Tubing and Annual Homecoming Event

Cranmore will kick off the 2017-18 season on Thanksgiving weekend, with skiing, riding, tubing and Mountain Adventure Park rides, plus the resort’s annual Homecoming and Brew Fest event, operating Friday through Sunday, November 24th-26th.

The resort is projecting skiing on three trails from the South Chair, as well as two lanes of tubing, plus Mountain Coaster, Soaring Eagle Zip Line and Giant Swing rides in the Mountain Adventure Park.

Hours of operation will be from 9am to 4pm for skiing and 10am to 4pm for tubing and the Mountain Adventure Park.

Cranmore will be offering early season prices opening weekend, with lift tickets priced at $29 for adults and teens and $19 for juniors and seniors. Pricing is subject to change upon the addition of new terrain. Children 5 and under ski for free. Two hours of tubing or unlimited rides in the Mountain Adventure Park are $29 each, or a combination of the two, two hours of tubing and unlimited rides in the Mountain Adventure Park is $49.

The resort will reopen on Saturday, December 2nd and will operate weekends before going to daily operations on Saturday, December 9th. A full schedule of operations is available at cranmore.com

Thanksgiving weekend also marks Cranmore’s annual Warren Miller showings and Homecoming event.

Ski film fans can catch Warren Miller’s “Line of Descent,” on Friday, November 24th or on Saturday, November 25th, after the Homecoming event, at Zip’s Pub and Grille. Doors open at 6:30pm and the movie will start at 7pm on both Friday and Saturday.  A full bar and limited pub menu will be available.

At Cranmore’s Homecoming event on Saturday, November 25th, guests 21 years and older are invited to taste over a dozen beer samples from local and regional breweries and enjoy live music from Ryan St. Onge at Zip’s Pub and Grille. Tastings will be available from 3pm to 5pm, and will be followed by a live auction for vintage trail signs at 5pm. Proceeds from the trail sign auction will go directly to the Jimmy Mersereau Memorial Scholarship Foundation.

Tickets to either Warren Miller showing are $12 each. Passports to Homecoming are $15 each, and the first 100 registrants will receive a free Cranmore Homecoming commemorative tasting glass. Warren Miller and Homecoming tickets can be purchased online at Cranmore.com or at the door. Reservations are recommended.

Snowmaking operations will continue as temperatures allow. For regular updates on snowmaking, snow conditions and events, visit Cranmore.com.
