Cranmore Welcomes Summer with Summit Offerings

NORTH CONWAY, N.H. - Cranmore’s scenic chairlift ride will can take guests to new heights this summer. The summit will feature a Tuckerman Brewery tasting room at the Meister Hut, plus a summit hike. In addition, the Meister Hut serves lunch daily from 11am-4pm and features Gifford’s Ice Cream. Scenic chairlift rides open for the season Saturday, June 17, run daily through Labor Day and weekends only after Labor Day through Columbus Day. 

Cranmore’s Tuckerman Brewing Tasting Room at the Meister Hut

 Cranmore’s summit Meister Hut will serve as a satellite tasting room for the local Tuckerman Brewery, which is located on Hobbs Street in Conway. Flights of five Tuckerman samples will be available for sale, along with single tastings and full pints. Flight purchases include an exclusive souvenir pint glass. 

Cranmore is the only off-site Tuckerman tasting room and offers the most Tuckerman beer on tap in the Valley.

Cranmore Offers a Variety of Summit Hiking

Starting at the Meister Hut, guests can experience a ½ mile loop around the summit. This hike is suitable for guests of all ages. Hikers can take in the scenic views of the Valley including downtown North Conway, the Conway Scenic Railroad, the Saco River, the Moat Mountains and Presidential Mountains including Mount Washington and more. Picnic areas are located throughout the trail.

For hikers looking for a longer trek, Black Cap Trail offers a two mile traverse to the neighboring Black Cap Mountain. The trail head is located off the summit of Cranmore. 

“These hikes are a great addition to our summer offerings. It’s perfect because it’s family friendly and appropriate for all ages, plus, you can’t beat the views,” said Cranmore Director of Operations, Glenn Harmon. “For guests looking for a longer trip, we encourage them check out Black Cap trail, which is also accessible from the summit. This trail is a bit longer at a two mile traverse over, but is very popular for summer hikers.”

Guests are reminded to hike are their own risk.

Cranmore’s Mountain Adventure and Aerial Adventure Park will be open weekends only from May 27 through June 18, then daily from June 19 through Labor Day. From Labor Day on, the parks are open weekends only through Columbus Day. Operating hours are from 10am to 5pm.  Scenic chairlift rides begin June 17.

All inclusive and ala cart tickets can be purchased on-line, for a $5 discount. Access to the scenic chairlift ride is included with unlimited Mountain Adventure Park passes and All Park passes. Single ride scenic chairlift rides can also be purchased for $13 per person.  To encourage local residents to visit the summit, 2 for 1 scenic chairlift rides will be available for residents for Carroll, Coos and Oxford Counties; must show proof of permanent residency to redeem. 2017-18 Cranmore Happy Trails Season Passholders can ride the scenic chairlift for free, once a day, during the summer.

Fridays, July 13th through August 11th, guests can bring their wristband from the previous evening's Arts Jubilee Concert to the Cranmore ticket office and receive a free chairlift ride to the summit. Chairlift ride valid for that Friday only.
