Cranmore Welcomes Summer Season with an Array of Events

NORTH CONWAY, N.H. – Cranmore Mountain Resort is the place to be this summer. With activities for all ages in the Mountain Adventure Park, plus family-friendly events for 2017, the resort will have guests covered for activities all summer long.

The 15th USATF Mountain Running Championships will be held on Saturday and Sunday, June 3-4 at Cranmore. The weekend will consist of four races along with a post-event awards party at local brewery, Tuckerman Brewing Company.

The weekend’s races will start on Saturday morning with a 5k loop course on the mountain, followed by the men’s championship two-loop course. Later on Saturday, the women will run the same two-loop course. On Sunday, runners can participate in an uphill mountain race. On June 9-11, guests can experience the Mount Washington Valley Children’s Museum’s Fairy Festival, at the base of Cranmore. Guests can enjoy over 100 fairy houses, arts and crafts, live performing artists, face painting, live animals, raffles, prizes and more. Admission is free but donations to the museum are appreciated. Food will be available for purchase at Zip’s Pub and Grille.

On Father’s Day, June 18, Dads can play for free at Cranmore with the purchase of a Mountain Adventure Park Pass, Aerial Adventure Park Pass or All Park Pass. Special cannot be combined with other offers or discounts.

Cranmore will host Locals Day on Sunday, June 25. Locals from Carroll, Coos or Oxford County can purchase a $15 Aerial Adventure or Mountain Adventure Park ticket. Locals must show proof of residency at the Cranmore ticket office.

Believe in Books Literacy Foundation's Bookmobile will be out and about all summer long at multiple locations in the area, including Cranmore on Fridays from 12:30pm-1:30pm, June 30 through August 25. Believe in Books will be giving out used books for all ages, and accepting donations. 

Guests can celebrate Independence Day the Cranmore way at the new Americana Celebration. On Tuesday, July 4, Cranmore’s base area will be transformed into the All-American backyard barbeque with live music from Shark Martin, brews on tap Tuckerman’s Brewing Co., lawn games, fresh from the grill burgers and hotdogs, and friendly competition. All guests are welcome.

On July 9, Cranmore will host the 30th year of the White Mountain Milers’ Cranmore Hill Climb. Recognized by Outside Magazine as one of the ultimate races for 2015's 365-Day Bucket list, this is a multi-lap race up Cranmore. Courses are designed to test stamina, speed and climbing strength and the race is open to all ages and abilities. Registration is open now. Arts Jubilee will host five concerts at the base of Cranmore this summer. The concert series will begin on Thursday, July 13 with a tribute to the Beach Boys. On Thursday, July 2o, there will be a performance of pop-rock music with a dash of Celtic flavor by Bob Halligan Jr. and Ceili Rain. On July 27 there will be a traditional pops concert from the Portland Jazz Orchestra, followed by fireworks. On August 3, there will be a tribute to Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings and Johnny Cash from the Highwaymen. The following Thursday, August 10, guests can enjoy the final concert of the series with a performance by six piece rock band, Entrain.

On August 19, Cranmore welcomes the annual North Conway Firefighter Association benefit concert. This year’s event kicks off with food and beverages available at the deck beginning at 6pm. At 7pm, the main act begins. The headliner: The Ronald Reagans Big ‘80’s Show, a family-friendly act, the musicians performg pop, new wave and rock hits of the ‘80s. Admission is free. All proceeds from food sales benefit the NCFFA. 

Cranmore’s Mountain Adventure and Aerial Adventure Park will be open weekends only from May 27 through June 18, then daily from June 19 through Labor Day. From Labor Day on, the parks are open weekends only through Columbus Day. Operating hours are from 10am to 5pm.  Scenic Chairlift rides begin June 17.
